TAMPA — The host Dragons scored on eight of their 10 possessions to remain undefeated and clinch a playoff berth.
Senior Quentin Williams completed passes to five different receivers, finishing 17-of-25 for 245 yards and three touchdowns. His one blemish was an interception Deandre James returned 25 yards for a touchdown late in the first half.
The Dragons (9-0, 5-0 Class 3A, District 6) also sacked Eugene Davenport six times and returned a fumble for a touchdown. Davenport was 7-of-19 for 147 yards and threw a late interception. He hit Darreon Telfair for a 48-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter for the Yellow Jackets (4-5, 3-2).
The Dragons won the district.
Meanwhile, Lakewood's victory over Spoto left Lakewood, Spoto and Blake tied for second. They will play a tiebreaker Monday for the district's second playoff berth.
