Football: Lake Highland Prep 28, Berkeley Prep 21

The script was similar to last season — a hard-fought game, the score tied at halftime — and unfortunately for Berkeley Prep, the result was as well: a loss to Lake Highland Prep.

Last year, the Buccaneers went to the half with a scoreless tie against the Highlanders, who eventually broke open a 28-0 victory. The two were once again locked up at intermission Thursday night, this time at 14.

The Bucs managed to gain a seven-point lead in the second half, but the Highlanders took full advantage of the Bucs' errors and came out on top with a 28-21 win.

"We had them at halftime and weren't able to finish," Bucs coach Dominick Ciao said. "They were very tough and physical and made plays when they had to. We made too many mistakes to win the game."
