PALM HARBOR — After two disappointing losses, Largo wanted to make a statement. The Packers did just that Friday night, dominating Palm Harbor University.
The Packers had 437 yards of offense, with Derrick Doss totaling 319. Doss had all five touchdowns for Largo and rushed for 303 yards.
"After those two losses, it was important for us to play our hearts out from beginning to end," Doss said. "We did just that and I am very proud of myself for my effort tonight."
The Hurricanes tried to keep the game close, scoring a touchdown in the fourth quarter, but the Packers answered quickly, with Doss scoring a 43-yard touchdown run.
Largo held the Hurricanes (3-7) to 101 yards in the first half.
