PLANT CITY — It was homecoming night for the Raiders, and they did not disappoint the pumped up crowd, shutting out Bloomingdale 37-0 Friday .
The Raiders offense struck fast and often in the first half with four touchdowns drives, three of which consisted of four plays or fewer. Leading 25-0 at halftime, the Raiders added two more TDs in the second half.
Dazmond Patterson ran for a game-high 134 yards and tallied two touchdowns, while Javonte Sykes caught two long touchdown passes. Quarterback Bennie Coney threw for 290 yards and four TDs and ran for another.
"We went back to the basics with Bennie all week in practice, and it really showed tonight," Plant City coach Wayne Ward said. "We also protected well tonight, which definitely made things easier for us."
