PLANT CITY — Trailing 41-7 and with a running clock looming, Chamberlain mounted a valiant second-half comeback, but Plant City hung on for a 41-35 win.
The game included 27 flags as both teams combined for 237 penalty yards. Each team lost three fumbles, and Chamberlain had two INTs to Plant City's one.
Aside from all that, there was plenty of offensive production. The Raiders (3-2) built a 35-7 halftime lead, in large part, on Dazmond Patterson's two touchdown runs and his 48-yard punt return.
Meanwhile, the Chiefs (1-4) capitalized twice on turnovers, with Tevin Ordonez pouncing on a fumble in the end zone and Kelvon Powell returning a fumble 74 yards.
