SHADY HILLS — Bishop McLaughlin kept things close Friday but Seffner Christian earned a 21-13 victory.
Seffner struck first on an interception return for a touchdown. Then the Hurricanes put together a drive in which quarterback RJ Perciavalle ran for 43 yards and threw a 25-yard touchdown to Alex Stafford. The scored was tied at 7 going into halftime.
After an interception on the first drive of the second half by Seffner, the Crusaders drove the field relying heavily on senior running back Seth Lewis.
Bishop McLaughlin was stymied by three interceptions. Another touchdown by Lewis in the fourth quarter and a two-point conversion put Seffner up 21-7. A late 45-yard touchdown from Perciavalle pulled the Hurricanes close but they couldn't close the gap.
