Football: Seffner Christian 21, Bishop McLaughlin 13

SHADY HILLS — Bishop McLaughlin kept things close Friday but Seffner Christian earned a 21-13 victory.

Seffner struck first on an interception return for a touchdown. Then the Hurricanes put together a drive in which quarterback RJ Perciavalle ran for 43 yards and threw a 25-yard touchdown to Alex Stafford. The scored was tied at 7 going into halftime.

After an interception on the first drive of the second half by Seff­ner, the Crusaders drove the field relying heavily on senior running back Seth Lewis.

Bishop McLaughlin was stymied by three interceptions. Another touchdown by Lewis in the fourth quarter and a two-point conversion put Seffner up 21-7. A late 45-yard touchdown from Perciavalle pulled the Hurricanes close but they couldn't close the gap.
