Football: Sickles 25, Blake 0

TAMPA — In a game littered with penalty flags, Sickles (2-0) shut out host Blake (0-1) 25-0.

Led by Brieann Dollard, who rushed for 126 yards and a score, the Gryphons ran for 220 yards en route to 250 total yards. Dollard stepped in after Carey White rolled his ankle late in the second quarter and didn't return. White had 79 yards on 10 carries.

The teams combined to commit 38 penalties, totaling over 300 yards, including 10 personal fouls.

Blake had 146 total yards but committed four turnovers and was hindered by penalties. Corey Harris led the charge for the Yellow Jackets with 52 yards on eight carries. They used seven running backs, accounting for 137 yards.

Sickles quarterback John Hendrick hit Adrian Lopez for a 30-yard score. Hendrick went 1-of-9 and had two interceptions.
