Football: Sickles 31, Freedom 0

TAMPA — Sickles' vaunted running game was not exactly at full strength heading into Thursday night's game against Freedom.

With Cary White nursing an injured right ankle, Brieann Dollard took up the first-half slack and Lee Myers handled the second half as the Gryphons (3-0) rolled 31-0.

Dollard ran for 150 yards, scoring on a 44-yard dash in the second quarter. But Dollard tweaked an ankle and sat out the second half. Myers, who scored on a 6-yard run to close the first half, handled all of the second-half carries, finishing with 105 yards.

Sickles quarterback John Melvin Hendrick opened the scoring with a 2-yard sneak in the first quarter and threw a 20-yard scoring strike to Connor Page in the third.

Sickles' defense limited Freedom (1-2) to 114 yards of offense and forced three turnovers.
