The Hornets gave up 49 first-half points to one of the state's top teams and never recovered in the worst loss in program history, 70-7.
"They are very good," Hornets coach Mark Lee said. "Their tempo got us. They were just a lot better than us. We gotta get there."
The Raiders also had one other thing on Weeki Wachee (1-5, 0-4): Depth. South Sumter had almost as many seniors as the Hornets have players.
"That's a first-class program," Lee said.
Senior fullback Jacey Tarter scored Weeki Wachee's only touchdown on a 1-yard rush, and sophomore running back Marcus Allen racked up 100 rushing yards. Defensive standouts for the Hornets included freshman defensive back Shawn O'Gorman and senior linebacker Jacob Cimino.
Weeki Wachee travels to Bradford next week in another Class 4A, District 4 contest.
