TAMPA — Despite totaling more than 300 yards on the ground Friday night, East Lake fell to Wharton 35-21.
Wharton found its own running game in the second half, with David Larry rushing for 90 yards on 11 attempts and scoring three touchdowns.
Despite only playing in the first half, Wharton quarterback Ryan Hatter went 3-for-5 for 109 yards and a touchdown. East Bay counterpart Arthur Jacobs had just 36 yards passing, making it difficult for the Indians to convert third and long.
