Football: Wiregrass Ranch 22, Zephyrhills 6

ZEPHYRHILLS — After a bye week last week, Zephyrhills should have had plenty time to prepare as it hosted Wiregrass Ranch. The Bulldogs had a hard time getting their offense going however, while the Bulls picked up steam after a slow first half and ran away with the game 22-6.

Senior running back Matt Terry got the scoring started for the Bulls (1-1) with a 2-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. Junior Paul Forsey added the extra point.

Midway through the third quarter Zephyrhills (0-1) finally got on the board with a 32-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Chris Reaves to tight end Frank Morrison. Daniel Muir missed the extra point.

Forsey kicked a 27-yard field goal early in the fourth quarter to give the Bulls a 10-6 lead. Senior Nick Lomba and sophomore Jamie Barone added rushing touchdowns of 2 yards and 40 yards. One extra point was missed and one was blocked.
