NEW PORT RICHEY — Zephyrhills (3-2, 2-0) had little problem Gulf on Friday night, even though inclement weather forced the game to end early.
Willie Williams had six carries for 117 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Bulldogs to a 34-3 victory.
Williams returned a kickoff 70 yards for the final margin before the game was stopped after three quarters.
Bulldogs quarterback Mike Smith had a good night as well, throwing touchdowns to Devin Brockington and Jordan Roberts.
A few bright spots for the Buccaneers (0-5, 0-2) were Brennan Smiley's interception and Michael O'Donnell's 36-yard field goal. Gulf's Genaro Ramirez played tough football on both sides of the ball, but the Bulldogs defense give him any room to run on offense.
