Football: Zephyrhills 41, Hudson 7

HUDSON — Willie Williams had a great night for Zephyrhills, finishing with 172 yards on 16 carries and two touchdowns as the Bulldogs ended Hudson's one-game win streak 41-7.

The Cobras — a week removed from ending a 24-game losing streak — had a hard time in the rain against the Bulldogs, who held Hudson to under 100 yards on total offense.

Early in the game Williams found the end zone on a 27-yard run. A few minutes later quarterback Mike Smith ran for a 4-yard dive to make it 14-0 Bulldogs (2-2, 2-0).

In the second quarter Smith threw two nice touchdown passes to Jared Kelly and Jordan Roberts, and the Bulldogs led 31-0 at the half.

In the second half, the Cobras (1-3, 1-1) got a great boost from a long kickoff return by Jamie Hamby to set up their only score — a Connor French 8-yard touchdown run.
