Freedom 23, Brandon 0

TAMPA — Freedom took advantage of Brandon turnovers in a shutout.

The Patriots started the scoring with a 1-yard run by quarterback Tyler Guy.

Brandon's next possession ended with an interception by Freedom's Josh McDougald. Freedom's drive ended with a Guy fumble, though Brandon (2-7, 0-3) went three and out.

The Patriots' Alex Landeta kicked a 49-yard field goal and Freedom took a 9-0 lead into halftime.

After a pair of stalled drives by both teams to start the second half, Freedom (6-2, 2-1) picked up 30 yards when the Eagles were called for two personal fouls on one play. The Patriots got the ball at the Brandon 26-yard line, but wasted the opportunity with a lost fumble on the next play.

In the fourth quarter Freedom's Keith Lewis recovered a fumble and returned it 45 yards for a touchdown.

Brandon's next drive ended with an interception, setting up Freedom's final touchdown, a 5-yard run by Amonty Delisca.
