Gibbs 21, Seminole 0

ST. PETERSBURG — Gibbs (4-3, 2-1) got the scoring started early as the Gladiators moved the ball well on their first drive, which included a 22-yard run by Mike Kendricks and a 21-yard touchdown pass from Josh Rembert to running back Jarvis West.

After Seminole (3-4, 1-2) punted, Gibbs took advantage by driving to within 10 yards and giving it to Kendricks for the score. Running back Jerry Daniels scored the two-point conversion.

The Gladiators scored in the second quarter when defensive back David Washington intercepted a pass and returned it 60 yards. The extra point was made by Brandon Clemons.

"With a young team you really have to focus, you can't look too far ahead," Gibbs coach Yusuf Shakir said. "We control our own destiny about what goes on in our district. We relish that opportunity."
