TAMPA — The Class 3A-8 title already in hand, Jefferson amassed 598 yards of offense — 340 passing with four touchdowns from quarterback Quentin Williams — in a rout of Middleton.
Williams, who completed 16-of-19, hit Andre Davis (three catches, 92 yards) for two scores early. In the second quarter, Chris Moore (five catches, 102 yards) became the lead target and had one touchdown reception. Moore also had a 55-yard touchdown run.
On the ground, the Dragons also had productive nights from Demetrius Russell (54 yards, one TD) and Ladarius Moye (44 yards, two TDs).
Middleton's touchdown was an 8-yard pass from Willie Clay to Demario Buie.
