Road to the state semifinals: D. Hardee 42-39; d. Fort Myers Dunbar 28-6

Season in a snap: The Indians started the season 1-3, which included losses to Clewiston, Naples Barron Collier and Naples. After the 60-42 loss to Naples, Immokalee has averaged 49 points per game. The Indians' last loss was came Oct. 21 at Fort Myers Dunbar, 41-26. They avenged that in the region semifinals, forcing five turnovers. … Fred Green is the top running back with 1,173 yards and 19 touchdowns. Nathaniel Betancourt has thrown for 1,267 passing yards and 14 touchdowns. But he has also thrown nine interceptions. … Junior Malcom Jackson came up huge in last week's region semifinal win, rushing for 205 yards and two touchdowns. It was only his second game of the season eclipsing the 100-yard mark on the ground.

Playoff history: The Indians won a Class 2A state championship in 2004. They also made an appearance in the 2012 Class 5A state final, losing 21-20 to Tallahassee Godby.
