Land O'Lakes 42, Anclote 0

LAND O'LAKES — On homecoming night without quarterback Stevie Weatherford, Land O'Lakes didn't miss a beat against first-year Anclote.

Receivers Alex Robinson and Justin Tello rotated at quarterback for the Gators (5-0, 3-0 3A-7) in place of Weatherford, who was suspended for one game. Coach Matt Kitchie declined to elaborate on the reason for the suspension.

Tello found wide receiver Will Irwin for two scores.

The game was sloppy as the teams combined for 170 yards in penalties, including seven personal fouls and one the ejection of one Sharks player.

Anclote (0-5, 0-3) got 151 yards rushing from Kris Aratchiysky who totaled 15 carries.

"There were a lot of penalties," Land O'Lakes assistant Tom Carter said. "We won't know for sure what happened until we review the tapes.

"I do know this, Anclote is a new young aggressive team and they play hard."
