PALM HARBOR — On senior night, Palm Harbor University's defense shut out Clearwater in the second half and the Hurricanes offense scored 13 straight points in the half.

The Hurricanes were led by sophomore quarterback Billy Pavlock, who had 19 rushes for 186 yards and a 29-yard touchdown. He was also 6-of-7 passing for 88 yards and a 5-yard touchdown to senior wide receiver Mike McNeely.

The Hurricanes defense played well, most notably in the second half, pressuring quarterback Ryan Hagen and sacking him twice.

"We made some halftime adjustments … and it worked out well for us," Hurricanes coach Mark Haye said.

Hagen rushed 10 times for 56 yards and one touchdown and was 10-of-20 passing for 149 yards and a touchdown to junior Mitchell Palmer.
