Keswick Christian 43, Lake Mary Prep 0: The highlight of the night was Josh Joy rushing 19 times for 164 yards and five touchdowns as host Keswick Christian rolled. Joy tied the school record for most rushing touchdowns in a game, set in 2006 by Jared DiMaggio. The Crusaders weren't done on the ground, either. Freshman Jawuan Akins rushed for 117 yards, with 72-yard touchdown run a highlight. Thomas Woods stepped up on defense with two interceptions as the Crusaders improved to 3-1.

Bradenton Christian 39, Canterbury 22: The Panthers (3-1, 1-1) pushed forward despite soggy conditions behind the strong rushing of quarterback Dusty Peebles and running back Zack Cooper. The loss was the first of the campaign for Canterbury (3-1, 0-1). For the Crusaders, quarterback Josh Belton ran in a touchdown from 20 yards and also hit receiver Alex Nestor for an 85-yard touchdown strike. Peebles (10 carries, 126 yards) and Cooper (23 carries, 179 yards) led the way for Bradenton Christian. Canterbury fullback Jeremy Rivera was the lone runner to find or make room for the Crusaders, rushing for over 100 yards. "It was just horrible weather out there (Friday night), and (Bradenton Christian) just beat us up front." — Canterbury coach Bill Jones
