ST. PETERSBURG — Senior Jack Schroeder scored on both offense and defense, and junior Hunter Tremaine had a hand in four touchdowns for the Chargers.

"Our guys did a great job, and they're starting to grow," Chargers coach Phil Hayford said. "We are starting to build on that."

Shorecrest drove 79 yards on nine plays to open the scoring as Tremaine ran in from 24 yards and Evan Jerome hit the point-after.

Lakeland Christian returned the kickoff 94 yards for a score, but the point-after was blocked.

Tremaine then put Shorecrest ahead 14-6 with a 4-yard run.

In the second half, Tremaine hit Toms Bernhards-Callahan with a 26-yard scoring pass and the Chargers began to pull away.

Schroeder added a 30-yard TD catch and a 40-yard interception return for a score to close it out.
