ST. PETERSBURG — With the stadium full of alumni for homecoming, Shorecrest wasted no time in blowing out All Saints Academy.
The Chargers relied on 370 yards rushing and a defense that forced six turnovers.
"We look at the whole season as a journey," Chargers coach Phil Hayford said. "I know it's special for our seniors."
The Chargers scored 13 in the first quarter on a Harrison Settle 17-yard run and a Jack Schroeder punt return. In the second quarter, they added 20 more points on a Schroeder run, an interception return and a 10-yard run by Hunter Tremaine.
Schroeder had 101 rushing yards to go with his punt return touchdown and an interception.
