At St. Petersburg

Score: Palmetto 27, St. Petersburg 7

Spring game-breakers: St. Petersburg's Anthony Johnson got the Green Devils on the board in the third quarter when he ran 21 yards into the end zone off of a fake field-goal attempt. D'Qaunte Lumpkin caught a 60-yard TD pass from Ola Thomas in the fourth quarter, but the score was called back because of a holding penalty at the line. Deshawn Brown reeled off 78 yards in another bit of special-teams trickery. Brown carried the ball off a fake punt down to the 2-yard line. Unfortunately for the Green Devils, the drive ended with a blocked field goal. Palmetto sophomore running back Johnny Jones accounted for all the yards on a short fourth-quarter drive that started at St. Petersburg's 35-yard line. He rushed four times, including a 5-yard run up the middle and into the end zone. That score put the Tigers up 20-7.

Did you know? The Green Devils had a fumble, a punt blocked, and two more fumbles on four consecutive possessions in the fourth quarter.
