Florida State added another wrinkle to first-year coach Willie Taggart's Monday night debut: The No. 19 Seminoles are wearing black alternate uniforms for their primetime showdown with No. 20 Virginia Tech.

Taggart has been open to the idea of alternate uniforms and different combinations — much more so than his predecessor, Jimbo Fisher.

Taggart said the Seminoles' unity council picked the uniforms.

"I think it will be fun," Taggart said. "It's not for everyone to like, but I think our players will like it and there will be some fans out there that will like it, as well. It will be something different, but again, doesn't matter, as long as we go out and win."
