Giants 27, Browns 13

Not pretty, but Giants will take it

CLEVELAND — They're rarely flashy, hardly appealing and downright tough to watch at times. The Giants play bland, boring football — just how they like it.

"Hey, it's just about finding ways," Eli Manning said.

Manning threw three touchdown passes — two to Odell Beckham — and former USF standout Jason Pierre-Paul returned a fumble for a touchdown as the Giants won their sixth straight game and kept the Browns winless (0-12).

"Whatever it is, a win is a win," Beckham said. "I don't think we took a step back (Sunday), but I definitely think we could have taken a bigger step forward. We got time."

SOUTHPORT, England — Someday, perhaps soon, there will be a plaque at Royal Birkdale for Jordan Spieth, much like the one off the 16th hole that celebrates Arnold Palmer and the 6-iron he slashed out of the rough in 1961 to win the British Open and usher in a new era of golf.

Jordan Spieth, right, comes from one back of Matt Kuchar, left, after 13, going birdie-eagle-birdie-birdie-par to win by 3.
