Creamer ties for LPGA lead in Ohio

SYLVANIA, Ohio — Paula Creamer, who hasn't won an LPGA Tour event in three years, shared the lead Friday after the second round of the Marathon Classic at 8-under 134.

"When you get a rhythm going out here, it kind of takes care of itself," Creamer said.

She shot 3-under 68 to pull even with Alison Walshe (69) and Beatriz Recari, who had the day's low round of 65.

Tampa's Cindy LaCrosse (68) was tied for 15th, five strokes back, and Tampa resident Kristy McPherson (71) made the cut on the number at 2-over 144. Seminole's Brittany Lincicome (72—147) missed the cut.

PGA: Lightning near the course delayed play for a second day at the Sanderson Farms Championship in Madison, Miss. Vaughn Taylor, Fabian Gomez, Paul Stankowski, Troy Matteson and Kyle Reifers were tied at 10 under after their rounds; Daniel Summerhays was also 10 under but only completed eight holes.
