ATLANTA — Joe Johnson sank a fallaway jumper over three Charlotte defenders just before time expired to lift the Hawks 93-92 in overtime Friday night.

Johnson, who had missed the previous two games because of Achilles' tendinitis, had 18 points, including 16 in the fourth quarter and overtime. He made his winning shot about two steps inside the 3-point line.

The Hawks began the night tied with Boston for third place in the Eastern Conference. Charlotte is sixth in the conference.

With newly approved Bobcats owner Michael Jordan watching from behind the bench, Raymond Felton's basket gave Charlotte a 92-91 lead with four seconds left in overtime. Felton led Charlotte with 25 points.

Gerald Wallace had 20 points and 16 rebounds in his return from an ankle injury.

The Hawks rallied after trailing by 10 in the fourth quarter.

Johnson, the team's leading scorer, was 0-for-9 from the field while scoring two points in the first three quarters. He had nine points in the fourth, including a short jumper with 35 seconds left to force overtime at 84-all.

Game highlights: LeBron James became the youngest player to score 15,000 points, breaking Kobe Bryant's mark by more than two years in the first quarter of the Cavaliers' 92-85 win over the Bulls. Three points shy of the milestone when the night began, James hit two free throws about five minutes into the first quarter for 15,001. He reached the milestone at 25 years, 79 days, and he did it in his 540th game. Bryant was 27 years, 136 days and playing his 657th game, according to STATS LLC, when he did it for the Lakers. … Pacers forward Danny Granger returned from a right cheek injury, made three critical free throws late and finished with 29 points in a 106-102 win over the Pistons. Detroit was led by Rodney Stuckey, who played 27 minutes and finished with 25 points in his first game since collapsing on the bench during a game two weeks ago.
