As expected, Lightning coach John Tortorella was named by USA Hockey on Friday to coach at the world championships.

Tampa Bay associate coach Mike Sullivan will assist at the tournament that begins May 2 in Halifax and Quebec.

"The first thing we'd like to be doing is being in the (NHL) playoffs,'' Tortorella said. "But it's an honor to be asked to do this. We're going to bring structure, and we're going to try to win. It's not going to be a vacation.''
