Injuries: Tampa Bay — D Jamie Heward (concussion), LW Gary Roberts (elbow), D Marek Malik (ankle) and F Paul Szczechura are out. Philadelphia — D Derian Hatcher (knee), C Danny Briere (groin), LW Jonathon Kalinski (thigh) and LW Josh Gratton (abdomen) are out.

Key stats: The Flyers are 9-3-2 against the Southeast with two regulation losses to the Lightning. … Tampa Bay has won three straight at home and are 8-8-7 overall there. … Philadelphia entered Thursday with the league's No. 2 power play at 25.9 percent and is the only team to not have allowed a short-handed goal. It also has scored a league-high 13 short-handed goals. … The Lightning is 4-5 in the second of consecutive games. … Flyers C Jeff Carter is second in the league with 30 goals.
