Bruins defenseman John-Michael Liles was scheduled to have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Thursday for a hit on Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov during Tuesday's game at Amalie Arena.

The hit occurred at 17:30 of the first period. No penalty was assessed. Kucherov stayed on the ice while a trainer went out to help him. He did not play the rest of the first period but returned for the second.

The league said it was considering supplemental discipline for an illegal check to the head but could consider other infractions after reviewing the play.

Boston won 1-0 in overtime.
