Lightning won't make qualifying offer to Anders Lindback

The Lightning will not make a qualifying offer to goalie Anders Lindback, it said Saturday, a move that makes Lindback an unrestricted free agent July 1.

The Lightning would have needed to make Lindback an offer of $2.2 million, his salary last season, to retain his rights as a restricted free agent. But general manager Steve Yzerman said Lindback is still being considered for the backup position to Ben Bishop.
