Injuries: Tampa Bay — C Chris Gratton (knee), LW Gary Roberts (upper body), W Matt Pettinger (right knee) and D David Koci (broken hand) are out. D Lukas Krajicek (left knee) is day to day, and D Marek Malik (lower body) is questionable. Minnesota — RW Marian Gaborik (lower body) is out.

Key stats: With Koci and Pettinger presumably going on injured reserve for 2-4 weeks, the Lightning recalled RW Steve Downie and D Matt Smaby from AHL Norfolk. W Jason Ward was placed on recall waivers and Norfolk D Andrew Hutchinson on regular waivers. … The Wild is 12-7-1 and second in the West's Northwest Division after a 4-3 loss to Dallas on Wednesday in which it allowed two third-period goals. Tampa Bay is 6-8-7 after a 3-2 shootout loss to the Rangers at home Wednesday. … Before the game, Minnesota will honor first-year Lightning assistant Wes Walz, an original Wild who played 438 games for it from 2000 to 2007.
