Tampa Bay Lightning's Brett Connolly has goal, assist in Canada's 10-2 world junior win over Denmark

EDMONTON, Alberta — The Lightning's Brett Connolly had a goal and an assist for Canada in a 10-2 win over Denmark at the world junior hockey championship Thursday.

Mark Stone had two goals and an assist and Scott Harrington had a goal and three assists for Canada, which scored seven straight goals before Nicolai Meyer and Emil Kristensen scored for Denmark in the third period.

Canada tops Pool B at 3-0 ahead of the United States, Finland and the Czech Republic at 1-1. Denmark dropped to 0-3.

In Russia's 14-0 win over Latvia, Lightning defense prospect Nikita Nesterov had a goal and two assists, and forward prospect Nikita Kucherov had two assists.
