Indians 2, Astros 1
CLEVELAND — The Indians took advantage of the sloppy Astros in a rain-shortened win. The game was delayed for 1 hour, 9 minutes then called after 61/2 innings. Cleveland scored an unearned run in the second and fourth innings off Brett Oberholtzer. Brandon Laird homered for Houston, which committed three errors, lost its seventh straight and fell to 51-103 — four losses shy of matching the club record set last season. Indians starter Zach McAllister got a key double play in the fifth and Bryan Shawn got his first save.
