SEATTLE — Linebacker Leroy Hill is taking a major pay cut to stay with the Seahawks.

Hill, facing a one-game suspension for off-the-field issues, will make $2.125 million in base salary in 2010, according to the NFL Players Association website. Hill was to make $6 million this season as part of a six-year deal signed in April 2009.

The remaining years on his deal were wiped out, making him a free agent after this season.

Hill will miss the opener against the 49ers via suspension. His issues include a marijuana possession charge in Georgia and a domestic violence charge in the Seattle area.

LEINART ON BLOCK?: Fox Sports reported on its website that the Cardinals are shopping quarterback Matt Leinart, who was unhappy about backing up Derek Anderson last week. Anderson again will start for Arizona in its preseason finale Thursday against Washington.

BILLS: Running back Marshawn Lynch is set to play in the preseason finale Thursday against Detroit. Coach Chan Gailey said Lynch looked good in his first practice since hurting his ankle in a loss to Washington.

BRONCOS: Running back Knowshon Moreno practiced for the first time since hurting his right hamstring Aug. 1, the first day of training camp. Moreno, still No. 1 on the depth chart, said he's "80-some percent" healed from the injury. It's unlikely he'll play Thursday at Minnesota.

BROWNS: Nose tackle Shaun Rogers will not be suspended for carrying a loaded gun into an airport. The NFL said Rogers will be fined a one-game check — roughly $400,000 — for violating personal conduct policy.

EAGLES: Michael Vick is slated to play the first half of Philadelphia's preseason finale because the team is resting its starters. Rookie Mike Kafka is slated to play the second half.

GIANTS: Rhett Bomar won the backup quarterback job and will play Thursday against the Patriots.

JETS: Kevin O'Connell was waived, making Kellen Clemens the No. 3 quarterback. Clemens signed a new deal, restructuring his $1.1 million tender and taking a pay cut.

PACKERS: Cornerback Al Harris (left knee) and safety Atari Bigby (left ankle) went on the physically-unable-to-participate list, so they will miss at least the first six games of the season.

RAIDERS: Running back Michael Bush (left thumb) had surgery; there was no word on how quickly he can return.

RAVENS: Rookie defensive tackle Terrence Cody (left knee) had surgery and will miss two weeks, coach John Harbaugh said.

TITANS: Defensive tackle Tony Brown (right knee) came off the PUP list and practiced for the first time this year.

VIKINGS: Receiver Sidney Rice, who had hip surgery last week, went on the reserve/PUP list, meaning he will miss the first six games of the regular season.

TRADES: Seattle traded starting cornerback Josh Wilson to Baltimore for a conditional 2011 draft pick. … Six days after claiming offensive tackle Tyler Polumbus from Denver on waivers, the Lions traded him to Seattle for an undisclosed draft choice.
