Liberty Bowl: Central Florida Knights vs. Georgia Bulldogs

UCF's Jeff Godfrey ranks eighth in the nation in passing efficiency at 165.3 and was the Conference USA freshman of the year. He was 143-of-209 (his 68.4 completion percentage ranking sixth in the nation) for 2,042 yards, 13 touchdowns and only six interceptions. He also ran for 10 touchdowns.

Times wires

Georgia (6-6) is trying to win a fourth consecutive bowl game and finish with a winning record. That would help salvage a promising season that began with a 1-4 start and WR A.J. Green suspended by the NCAA for selling a bowl jersey. Central Florida (10-3) is coming off a 17-7 victory over SMU that gave it its second Conference USA title in four seasons. Its biggest defensive task will be Green and QB Aaron Murray, a graduate of Tampa's Plant High. The Knights led C-USA and were 18th among 120 Division I-A teams in total defense at 318.1 yards per game. Two-time C-USA defensive player of the year Bruce Miller, right, has 34 career sacks and returned two interceptions for touchdowns this seasons. In all, the Knights returned five interceptions for touchdowns.
