Liberty Bowl: Central Florida Knights vs. Georgia Bulldogs

Georgia LB Justin Houston leads the SEC with 10 sacks and was second in tackles for loss with 18½. UCF's Jeff Godfrey ranks eighth in the nation in passing efficiency at 165.3 and was the Conference USA freshman of the year. He was 143-of-209 (his 68.4 completion percentage ranking sixth in the nation) for 2,042 yards, 13 touchdowns and only six interceptions. He also ran for 10 touchdowns.

Times wires

Georgia (6-6) is trying to win a fourth consecutive bowl game and finish with a winning record. That would help salvage a promising season that began with a 1-4 start and WR A.J. Green suspended by the NCAA for selling a bowl jersey. Central Florida (10-3) is coming off a 17-7 victory over SMU that gave it its second Conference USA title in four seasons. Its biggest defensive task will be Green and QB Aaron Murray, a graduate of Tampa's Plant High. The Knights led C-USA and were 18th among 120 Division I-A teams in total defense at 318.1 yards per game. Two-time C-USA defensive player of the year Bruce Miller, right, has 34 career sacks and returned two interceptions for touchdowns this seasons. In all, the Knights returned five interceptions for touchdowns.
