Magic pulls out of collapse

ORLANDO — Another big lead got away from the Magic in the fourth quarter Sunday, but one big shot got it back just in time.

Nik Vucevic hit an 18-footer at the buzzer, and Orlando beat the Hawks 96-94, winning for only the third time in 18 games in 2016.

"It's been a rough month for us, a lot of losses, so it's good to get a win against a good team," said Vucevic, who finished with 22 points and nine rebounds but had three fourth-quarter turnovers to aid Atlanta's comeback. "I wasn't happy about those, and I wanted to make up for it."

Elfrid Payton scored or assisted on the Magic's final six baskets. Until Vucevic's winning shot, Orlando had gone scoreless since Payton's jump shot with 3:41 left, squandering a 94-86 lead.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS: Chris Paul hit consecutive late 3-pointers to help the Clippers beat the host Heat 100-93. … Rookie Emmanuel Mudiay scored nine of his 15 during a decisive fourth-quarter run, and the Nuggets beat the host Knicks 101-96. … Avery Bradley scored 25 and the host Celtics held off the Kings 128-119 for their ninth win in 10 games.

AROUND THE LEAGUE: The league is reviewing whether the act of jumping on a player's back to intentionally foul him should be interpreted as a flagrant foul. … Clippers guard Austin Rivers is out 4-6 weeks with a broken left hand.
