SEATTLE — Jason Vargas pitched seven solid innings and Seattle sent Boston to its season-worst seventh straight loss. The Mariners scored all their runs in the fourth with help from two Red Sox errors. Boston fell to 0-7 on its nine-game road trip and has been outscored 58-16 in that span. Vargas (14-9) became the first Mariners pitcher other than Felix Hernandez to win at least 14 games since 2003.
