Mets 3, Brewers 2
NEW YORK — After skipping a turn in the rotation last weekend because of a sore elbow, Steven Matz pitched seven sharp innings to win his sixth consecutive start. Matz picked up right where he left off in his previous outing May 9 at Dodger Stadium. The rookie left-hander held the Brewers to three hits. Matz struck out eight and walked none as the Mets won for the second time in eight games. Addison Reed tossed a perfect eighth and Jeurys Familia closed flawlessly for his 14th save.
