WASHINGTON — Gio Gonzalez earned his 17th win with his first career shutout and the Nationals handed Adam Wainwright his shortest start this season. The Nationals sent 10 batters to the plate during a four-run third against Wainwright. Gonzalez held the Cardinals hitless through four to tie the Reds' Johnny Cueto and the Mets' R.A. Dickey for the majors' lead in wins.
