WASHINGTON — Reliever Miguel Batista, pressed into his first start in nearly two years after rookie Stephen Strasburg was scratched just minutes before the first pitch, allowed only three singles in five scoreless innings, and two throwing errors hurt Braves starter Tommy Hanson as the last-place Nationals beat NL East-leading Atlanta. Batista hadn't started a major-league game since Aug. 25, 2008, for the Mariners.
