Nationals 4, Mets 2

WASHINGTON — Daniel Murphy homered twice against his former team, and the Nationals completed a three-game sweep. Max Scherzer cruised against New York's sputtering offense. He retired 18 in a row before Brandon Nimmo's single in the eighth and finished with at least 10 strikeouts for the fourth straight game. Murphy matched his career high with his 14th homer as Washington won its fourth in a row.
