Clearwater sailor Paige Railey will have to wait another day to compete in the women's laser radial medal race, which was postponed due to high winds today in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

After a lengthy delay due to a lack of wind, conditions became too windy in the minds of race officials. The race will take place on Tuesday, instead.

Railey secured a place in the race by placing fourth in her second race of the day on Saturday, putting her 10th overall after the first 10 races of the regatta.

Railey was first eligible for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. Despite being the top-ranked U.S. female sailor in the laser radial class (single person dinghy), she failed to qualify for the U.S. Olympic team.

Undeterred, Railey continued to train and qualified for the 2012 Games in London, where she finished eighth.
