NEW YORK — Chris Tillman tied for the major-league lead with his 14th win, allowing four hits in seven innings as the depleted Orioles averted a four-game sweep. The Orioles had lost four straight overall, costing them their lead in the AL East. Baltimore slugger Chris Davis, shortstop Manny Machado and manager Buck Showalter returned from a stomach bug. Yankees starter CC Sabathia lost on his 36th birthday, leaving him 0-4 in his last six starts. On his birthday he is 0-3 with a 6.99 ERA in five career starts.
