It is getting to be the time of year for negative tides and strong northeast winds really blowing the water out. Don't get discouraged by this. It will give you an opportunity to find new fishing areas. Deep troughs will also be visible. Look for troughs just off the flats that are exposed. Fish are usually piled up there. The redfish bite has been pretty consistent this week. A couple of nice schools of bull reds are running around with the mullet. If the winds are down and you are able to get offshore, then you should be pretty successful. I have been told that the mangrove snapper, hog snapper and grouper bites are really going off. Small tuna are hanging on the most popular wrecks. Mix in some kingfish action and you should have a blast.
