Two Locals Named to U.S. Sailing Team

Clearwater's Paige Railey and Tampa's Brad Kendall were among the 34 athletes named to the 2013 U.S. national team announced by U.S. Sailing on Wednesday. Railey, who represented the United States at the 2012 Summer Olympics, sails Laser Radial, and Kendall joins Rick Doerr (Clifton, N.J.), and Hugh Freund (Brookline, Mass.) on a Sonar team.

St. Petersburg native Mark Mendelblatt and teammate Brian Fatih of Miami emerged as the overall winners at Miami Sailing Week last week, which featured five, one-design fleets.
