CINCINNATI — Chase Headley homered in the ninth off Aroldis Chapman, the first hit the hard-throwing left-hander had allowed since his return from being hit in the head by a line drive, and the Padres won their season-high fourth in a row despite managing three hits. Seth Smith had the only two hits Mike Leake allowed in eight innings. Headley connected on a 99 mph fastball from Chapman, making his second appearance since having surgery after being struck in the left eye and nose in spring training. Huston Street got the last three outs and hasn't allowed a run in his past 10 innings.
