MILWAUKEE — Former Ray James Shields had a season-high nine strikeouts in seven innings to lead the Padres to their first three-game winning streak this season. Shields allowed seven hits and one walk, Brandon Maurer pitched the eighth inning and ex-Rays closer Fernando Rodney pitched the ninth for his 11th save. The Brewers' Jimmy Nelson pitched a season-high eight innings and gave up two earned runs on five hits but lost for the second time in seven starts.
