SEATTLE — Jordy Mercer hit a go-ahead single with two outs in the ninth inning for the Pirates, who improved to 48-30 and are 18 games over .500 for the first time since 1992, their last winning season. Neil Walker hit a two-run homer off Felix Hernandez to put Pittsburgh ahead in the fourth. The Mariners tied it in the sixth on Raul Ibanez's team-leading 18th home run.
