PITTSBURGH — Pirates rookie Jameson Taillon pitched three-hit ball for eight innings and David Freese drove in two. Taillon matched his longest outing in the majors. The Padres put only one runner in scoring position against him. Josh Harrison hit a leadoff double for the Pirates in the first and scored on Freese's single. Freese hit an RBI double in the third and scored on a single by Gregory Polanco. Harrison singled home a run in the fourth.
